There are many museums, bars, restaurants and theaters in Charleroi. The city is also famous for its comic strip artists whose statues can be found everywhere. The inhabitants of Charleroi (the Caroloregans) are further said to be welcoming and friendly.
The inhabitants of the city and politicians are betting on cultural and urban development in order to restore the city's former prestige. As a consequence, museums, shopping malls, theatres and many others are now part of Charleroi's cultural offer.
In March 2018, the city opened its brand new shopping centre. It now represents the motor of the city and the ideal place for shopping addicts. It was built around a 19th century shopping mall and today, 38,000m2 of shops of all kinds can be found there.
The city is full of surprising and original places to eat or drink. All you have to do is walk from street to street and discover a varied and gourmet offer of bars and restaurants.
While the center of Charleroi is in the process of revitalisation, the housing offer is not that wide. Our houses are located near the very centre, in easily-accessible and residential areas.
Transport to the airport and other industrial zones can be done easily by tram or bus from our houses.
